The KNX protocol intelligence cable is one of the most widely used cables as the first pillar of intelligence. These cables are designed to communicate with building management equipment, including lighting and lighting control, control of heating and cooling air conditioning systems and audio systems, and in different environments such as residential homes of factories and companies, etc. 

In the design of this cable, two pairs of black / red and yellow / white colors are used. The red and black pairs are the main pair of KNX cable, which is used for power and data transmission. The white and yellow pairs are normally unused, but in some systems these pairs are used to transmit power. Appearance specifications:

The KNX cable consists of 4 strands of Class 1 copper wire in red, black, white and yellow with a diameter of 0.8 mm. These wires are twisted 2 by 2 by aluminum foil and placed in a 6.3 mm diameter cover. These cables are also called twisted pairs.

Between these strands of copper there is a strand of silk thread that prevents the cable from tearing.

The twisted pairs of red and black in the smart cable are responsible for powering the device, transmitting information, and the pair of yellow and white wires are responsible for transmitting electrical power.
