The term ACSR stands for “Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced is a stranded conductor including a number of aluminum wire layers on stimulated steel wire core voltage level 20KV are produced.
In design of these cables, galvanized steel in the central core is used as a support and aluminum wire strands are used as a conductor.
Appearance specifications:
Copper cable fixed installation with voltage level of 300/500 V according to IEC 60227-4 standard with VDE 0207-5 characteristic code with number of strands 2 to 5, produced in cross section 1.5 to 35.
Technical specifications:
Structure:
Conductor: Arranged twisted strands (group 2) made of Aluminum
standard: BS 215 Model: ACSR
Jacket: Made of PVC type ST4
Application:
This cable is considered as the best choice for electricity distribution in dense urban areas. Due to its insulation, it is very convenient to use in crowded areas and narrow gaps between buildings, where it is usually not possible to run bare conductors. In addition, the insulation of the cable prevents possible electric shock. Buying a cable with an overhead conductor has a definite advantage, and that is cost savings. Also, because the cables are clearly visible, defects can be identified and corrected quickly and easily.
